eBay App not compatible with Android 15 (Lineage OS 22) / Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Hi,

I've just upgraded to a new phone and wanted to install the eBay app (6.211.0.3). However the Play Store tells me that it is not compatible with my device.

Since the minimum version seems to be Android 10 and I have Android 15 that does not really makes sense (to me).

Phone is a Motorola Edge 20 Pro with latest LineageOS 22.2-20250616 (Android 15) with Google Apps.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

For the time being @denniii , use the eBay website from a browser.

On the website you can click the ? icon on the bottom right of the page to file a tech report on the compatibility issue.

eBay usually releases app updates every Monday so I suggest you keep checking every week to see if this issue resolves.

Do you use root access for some features? I believe it has to do with custom ROM and/or root privileges in Android 15. I have a Moto Edge 2023 + with stock ROM Android 15 with Magisk root and it tells me the same thing. I had the app on stock Android 14 with Magisk + root and it worked. I believe I had installed Lineage from Android 14 and it worked as well, but that was long ago and don't remember well. I *think* it worked because I don't remember having issues with eBay app like this through that. I did have other unrelated issues with root access and using other apps that had issues with that BEFORE I discovered root level fixes. Try making a backup and see if resetting to 'factory defaults' without root on Lineage and see if there is a difference. Might be too tedious of a task, I agree.
