eBay App Glitch - Changing store categories crash?

Hey hey,

I have an issue with my eBay app. This has been the case since i performed the update a few days ago. I have an ebay store and always use a current listing as the template for a new item I want to upload, and then change what needs to be changed (title, pictures, description etc).

However, I want to change the store category this item is listed in. Ebay gives you the option to have the item in two categories, one of these categories works, the other glitches up. It freezes my phone up for about 10 seconds then shuts the app down. This is the case with several different drafts that I have, same thing on all of them. I even deleted that draft and created another, same thing.

Might seem like a small issue but as I do everything with eBay on my iPhone I need this sorted please 🙂

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks for the reply! I currently only have desktop availability at work and probably shouldn't be using it for my personal life!

It's a strange, very specific issue, yet I seem to have it with any draft that I establish. Even deleted/redownloaded the app and the same problem persists.

Using ipod for listings. Problems started by not letting me submit completed listings - crashed and saved them as a draft. This morning the app will not let me add a shop cat. without crashing either.  Anyone else having these issues?

I am having the same issue. Clicking Done after changing the store category takes you out of the revise mode, and clicking the back arrow at the top makes it so it doesn’t save the new category. This seems to be only when revising an item, not creating a new one.

Deleting and re-installing will not fix this issue. There needs to be an app update for it to work properly. We recommend you add the store categories using your desktop computer. If you do not have access to a desktop PC you can attempt to get to the full listing flow on your mobile device by tapping the classic link button at the bottom of the pages.

Look forward to it being fixed in the next update as I won't be creating any more listings in the meantime.

Just another little issue I noticed. As I do 99% of my eBaying from my mobile phone so I'm just noticing these differences between the updates. If I want to revise a listing and amend the description, it's automatically only allowing me to use Arial font whereas the rest of my listing is Times New Roman. This might seem stupid and petty, but there's no way to alter this within the app.

Before the update the text would match the text of whatever template I was using.

Please change it all back 😞 Never had an issue whatsoever with the last version!

I have this same problem. I updated a few days ago.  I cannot add new listings to my custom eBay store categories.  I really wish we could go back and use the last stable version of the app. I am also having much trouble with entering shipping weights.

 I have the same problem! What the hell is going on with eBay? They make it so difficult to sell! Every time they change the app something gets screwed up!! Fix this dammit!!!!!!! 

 The only way that I listed through mobile apps. It is the easiest and fastest way to do it. That is if you ignore or find workarounds for all the stupid glitches that the app has that eBay has built into it!!!!!!

Just updated my app today on an iphone. My listing was all done.  I pushed the "list it" icon.  Got the twirling circle for 10 minutes.  Tried to back out with the X in the right corner.  Deleted my entire draft!  So frustrated!!

Yeah it's a bit painful really. But at the end of the day we haven't paid money to download the app and I'm sure all of these updates are to make things easier with some bugs that need to be sorted out!

I noticed that when you go to revise a description it doesn't shoot you all the way to the bottom of the description anymore! That will prove to be handy in the long run. Not to mention other improved features like the set out of everything in the draft screen.

I also lost drafts! Also not listing anything until it's all fixed as it's incredibly painful for me to try and do so. Hopefully it's all fixed up before we all know it 😄
