Re: Where is the sent messages tab

All messages are on the same page on the app whether sent or received @krekre11 . Just like text messages, there is no separate 'sent' folder - you can find what you're looking for under 'all messages' or go to 'from members' if you want to filter out the eBay generated stuff.

The app does not currently have a consolidated view to see sent offers, only items eligible to send offers.

You can bookmark this link which will take you to open seller initiated offers on the website:

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

SO, in this case. How do I verify the offer sent. I recently have a sale where 2 items sold for 50% off.... I never sent an offer for such. I was trying to find and make sure there was no sent message or offer including such a discount. This is the 3rd time this has happened where ebay sold my items for less than listing price, but dont know how. SO I am doing my homework to prove they are scamming people.

So, how do I find such things as sent offers or sent messages again?

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

What you need to look for @krekre11 is listings that have automatic offers set up.

If you don't remember sending out an offer, you may have done it a while ago, and not realized eBay defaults the option to send automatic offers. You need to turn off automatic offers otherwise eBay will keep sending them. This happens to a lot of sellers that rush through the process without looking at all of the settings.

1. From the website (not the app) go to Seller Hub Active listings and navigate to: All Filters > Offers > Offers Sending Automatically

The filter will only appear if there are listings with that setting enabled. If unsure, just click the direct link above and if you see zero listings, that means you don't have auto-send offers enabled on any listings right now.

2. Under the Actions drop down to the left of the listing, select Review All Offers

3. Select Change Offer Settings.

4. Under Send offers to buyers, click the > symbol next to Automatically Send Offers.

5. Toggle off the blue Automatically send offers slider at the top. Click the blue Done button at the bottom.

6. You will see status is changed to off. Click the blue Update Offer Settings button.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

We can see from the fact search view shows $5.00 with no strikethrough that the item sold as a private offer or seller initiated offer and not through 'make offer' on the listing.

https://www.ebay.com/bin/purchaseHistory?item=115136363006

I can see by looking up that item in the Product Research tool that it actually sold for $4.50 which is 10% off the listing price.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

you have a COMPLETELY different layout for ebay than I have. I do not have your step 2 and beyond.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

I did not provide a screenshot for step 2, just written instructions.

Click the link under step 1, then follow this written instruction for step 2:

Under the Actions drop down to the left of the listing, select Review All Offers

From there you can pick back up with step 3.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

Listing price is $10. I didnt send any offers. Hence me trying to find sent messages and sent offers. Which is no where to be found. I found what your talking about and it still doesnt answer my questions as to where I can find such said sent offers.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

Sent offers do not appear in your messages.

The listing price was $5.00

https://www.ebay.com/itm/115136363006

As I showed above, a quantity of 2 were sold with a seller initiated offer (probably automatically sent) for 10% off at $4.50

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

I even found my declined received offers of same item of higher bid amounts. This will be the 3rd time ebay sold something for less than listing price without my accepting.

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

Truly interesting. This item was listed at $10. Not 5. Exactly my point of ebay selling items for less than what they were listed for.  Thanks for the help. Spoke to Ebay about it. They are fixing it

Re: Where is the sent messages tab

You're not going to find the answer you want because there is no message on the seller's end for a seller initiated offer.

The info I provided above explains what happened, and it explains how to turn off automatic offers for your active listings so it doesn't happen again. You'll also need to be vigilant when you send a seller initiated offer that you do not have automatic offers enabled. It's a sticky setting so once you turn it off it should stay off.

The problem here was twofold:

1. The listing price was apparently set up in error.

2. You sent a seller initiated offer a while ago and did not notice you had automatic offers enabled at a 10% discount.

Now you have an order and need to deal with it. Your options are to ship like any other order, or to cancel the sale and take the out of stock defect, and probably get negative feedback for it.

I do see validity in your complaint that automatic offers is the default setting, but again - you sent the offer without turning off that setting. It's not a hidden setting.

As you get past the frustrations I hope some of this info will help you manage things to avoid repeat events.

The listing's revision history shows you changed the price on Jan 25th. Perhaps it was an error - a bulk update - maybe you meant to adjust shipping but you adjusted item price. I don't know.

Sorry to hear it was sold at a price significantly less than expected! At least it was a low value item and not something where you lost hundreds.
