I have always listed my items with flat rate shipping. I do not package them until they sell. Now the app won’t allow me to choose the shipping method or price unless I put in package size details. Please fix this

Same here for like Same here, happening with any listing that I don't put any weight or dimensions in despite using flat rates. It's only on the app. Website works fine. I've submitted reports and just chatted with support. They're supposedly putting in a ticket with technical support. It's definitely a technical issue/glitch on the app.

The browser version also requires package details. It's not that difficult to measure the packaging and weigh the item in the packaging then post ...easy peasy.
eBay isn't going to change it.

I just put in the approximate size of the packaging I usually use. It doesn't have to be exact, and in fact, it doesn't even need to be accurate. If you know the approximate shipping cost (to you), that's the important thing.
Then when you're purchasing the shipping label, you can put in the actual measurements.

There appears to be an issue as several users are reporting a problem. Shake your device while the app is open to file a tech report @l4tl .
There's a potential work-around posted here:
"Starting a few days ago, I am routinely getting domestic shipping errors when trying to enter shipping dimensions and finalize listings. The error says something is missing when I have already entered the shipping details. The only way I have found to “fix” this error is to go to the shipping details, flip “I don’t know the package details” to on and then off again and then list the item."
