Hello
I have seen this issue on past threads, but I haven't been able to resolve it from the answers given. Hoping someone will have another resolution!
I have switched to a new phone (Huawei P30 Pro) and have not been able to log into the app. I get the following error message:
"Pardon Our Interruption...
As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:
You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed.
You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser.
A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running."
I can login to eBay desktop on my phone on Chrome with no issues, it is just the app.
I have already tried the following:
- Clearing eBay cache and data
- Clearing Chrome cache
- Reinstalling the app
I have checked and JavaScript is not disabled. I used my Google account to transfer settings to my new phone and I have not added any third-party browser plugins. I have raised a ticket with eBay, but I am hoping I can get a resolution here quicker than that.
Does anyone know of any other settings I can check, or has anyone been able to resolve this in a different way than above? Thanks!

As far as I can tell, that "pardon" message is only associated with browser issues. It should have nothing to do with the eBay app.
What version number of the app are you using? What operating system version does your phone use? Does it support the latest version of the eBay app?
It might be worth trying a different browser.

Thank you! I simply downloaded Firefox and that seems to have solved it as I can now login to the eBay app. I had set Firefox as the default browser, but have since changed default back to Chrome, so it looks like it just needed another browser present. Thanks so much!

You are very welcome -- glad to hear you have sorted it out.
What may have happened is that your app may have tried to open a browser window for a specific reason -- often that happens when you need to check a box on a disclaimer in order to proceed. If your default browser on your phone was set to an obscure proprietary browser (as is often the case if you have not specified a new default yourself), that may have caused the error message you saw if that browser was unable to handle JavaScript in a way that eBay liked.
Installing Firefox may have made Firefox the new default browser and allowed you to proceed. From there you were able to change the default to Chrome.
