Old version of eBay mobile app?

I keep getting e-mails telling me I am using the old version of the ebay app.  I'm not sure if it's the one on my phone or Ipad.  When I go to the app store for either one, I appear to have the most updated version.  I've tried deleting and reinstalling, but it doesn't seem to change anything.  I don't want to lose access to ebay, which is what the e-mail says will happen.

Yesterday I forwarded the same email to eBay to see if it was phishing. They responded that it was phishing, but this morning I got the same message in my eBay app messages.

I reached out to ebay via twitter.  They wouldn’t answer me why I was getting the exact message through eBay messages or if the app is out of date.  Super frustrating.

The email is meant to inform customers that they may be using an older version of the app on one of their mobile devices, not necessarily all of their devices, based on activity we have seen this year. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. If you would like to check to ensure you are using the latest version of the app – please follow these steps:

• From the iOS app: Go to My eBay, then select Settings. Within there, next to About, you will see the app version.
• From the Android app: Go to the main menu, select Settings and look under About to see the app version. 

As long as your app version if 5.0 or higher, you are in good shape. We do encourage you to keep your app updated to the very latest release, which is 5.14.

Hi.:) I am a serious buyer on eBay & I have 4 eBay accounts that I use every single day. Until now, I was using both your eBay for iPhone App and eBay for iPad App. I managed to download both eBay apps onto my 2 Apple devices (2 iPad minis) to access two eBay accounts on each iPad mini. So, I had 2 eBay Apps on 1 Apple device. And this worked perfectly for me!:)

Now, because you have done away with your eBay for iPad App, I’m stuck with just one eBay app on each of my two iPad minis and I have to constantly sign in and sign out of my eBay accounts to access one of my other eBay accounts!!!:(

PLEASE GO BACK TO PROVIDING A EBAY FOR IPAD APP OR PLEASE ALLOW THE ABILITY TO SWITCH BETWEEN MULTIPLE EBAY ACCOUNTS USING THE ONE EBAY APP YOU ARE NOW SUPPORTING!!!

Doing away with the eBay for iPad App has created a mess for me!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thank you.

I still use 3.6.1 and in app it says your eBay app will be retired if that is the case I also retire from eBay that verison is the most straight forward app ever and also the easist way to sell on mobile phone so i would like to know how could that app be retired

Hi Lathie 78.:) I’m so glad I’m not the only one who loves the eBay for iPad app.:)

I have a favor to ask please....:) Do you possibly have the .ipa file for the eBay for iPad App? I think it is version 3.6.0 or 3.6.1...

Since Apple has stopped letting us transfer apps from our iPads and iPhones, I have no way to get the copy of the eBay for iPad Version 3.6.0 that I have on one of my iPad minis and transfer it to iTunes, and then transfer the app from iTunes to my other iPad mini that used to have the app, but it somehow got deleted.

And unfortunately, Apple has removed the app from my purchased apps list and it is also missing from my iTunes.:(

So now I have a permanent download from the app store icon on my phone, and I can no longer re-download it onto my 2nd iPad mini because this app is no longer available in the App Store. I have tried looking on the web for this .ipa file, and I can’t find it anywhere.:(

So if you Have the eBay for iPad .ipa file, Version 3.6.0 or 3.6.1, can you please share it with me, so I can get it into my iTunes and then transfer it to my 2nd iPad mini?:)

According to Lifewire.com:
If a friend or a family member has the app, you can get it from them. It won't work through Family Sharing since that uses the App Store. If they have it on their computer, though, they can get it to you. In that case, they need to navigate through their hard drive to the folder where that their apps are stored in.
On a Mac, this folder is at Music -> iTunes -> iTunes Media -> Mobile Applications
On Windows, it's located at My Music -> iTunes -> iTunes Media -> Mobile Applications.

Unfortunately, the link you provided takes me to the App Store and it takes me to the current eBay App Version 5.15.:( 

Is there any way you could please see if you have the “eBay for iPad 3.6.0.ipa” file in your iTunes Media/Mobile Applications folder? And if you have it, kindly copy it and upload the file into this thread?:)

I did a upgrade to IPhone 8 Plus and when I did a restore from ITunes my app got updated 🤬🤬 I do have a backup of my IMac from a while ago I’m going to reinstall it and hopefully i can get us all back to a good working straight forward app and one that’s easy to sell items from to make eBay some money 😂😂 just kidding

I am I big eBay user to today my old 0.0.0.13 eBay app just got retired it was the best app for eBay but this new eBay app is so bad half the stuff does not show up I can find anything for eBay motors n when I get into cars n trucks half of what I know is on there I now can't find I do have words for eBay with this new app I just can't say then eBay now sucks like everything else I now am retired from using eBay I found other sites that have the same stuff as ebay
