Not receiving messages from other eBay users on my eBay app

I just noticed a message from a perspective customer while logged into eBay on my desktop pc. These personal messages from other eBay users do not show up in my Inbox on my Android app. I have the app installed on two Android phones now and these types of messages are not visible on either phone. When I click Inbox in the app there is no "messages" option. There are only options for important, buying, selling, recommended, and account. The messages from other eBay users are not visible under any of these options. How can I be read and respond to messages from other eBay users on my eBay app?

In the app, the "Inbox" is for notifications, not messages.

Tap the My eBay icon, the tap the envelope icon at the top of the screen to see your message inbox in the app.

You are welcome. I have no idea why the notification icon is labeled "Inbox" and the actual inbox is hidden somewhere else, but eBay likes to hide things and keep folks guessing.
