No HTML editing in iOS app

Why can’t we use HTML in the app description editor?  It says the format is not supported and all formatting will be removed.

it started once the change to the new mobile format and to be honest, to me it seems more effort is being used to change the interface than to make it better.  Updates are always being released without being ready.

im so ready to get back to where it was 5 years ago when everything just worked!

Re: No HTML editing in iOS app

You’re so right, I used to sell a bit five years ago, back when it was easy to list items and have your listings look the way you wanted them to look. What’s more I did it all on my phone as I don’t even own a computer.... But these days I don’t sell anything and this is because ebays iOS app has “improved” to the point I can’t use my own templates because the HTML functionality has disappeared. WHY??? Was it getting in the way? Did it scare people?  Why take away something people used? It Should have been improved not removed. To make it even more frustrating you can’t even go to the desktop site - where you can still list items using HTML - if you’re using a mobile because every time you navigate to a different page you just get re-directed back to the increasingly unfunctional app, over and over again, it drives me nuts, I’ve gone to the desktop site for a reason!!😖😖😖.

Most app updates concentrate on making things work better, quite often you’ll find added functionality  or smoother integration with the main product /business/service. Not eBay , the app becomes more bare bones basic and loses functionality every time it’s updated. I for one  want my listings to look a particular way because  for 12 odd years this worked very well,  but now my only option is to list items with all the visual appeal of  this post - and I just won’t  - so unfortunately that’s me done, I’m updated out

( Whenever I see something that’s obviously been listed using the eBay mobile app - a few blurry photos and “a quick “Buy my stuff. In good condition”  in tiny times Roman font -It makes me cringe, then start to reminisce about the ‘old’ eBay )
