Ebay app not downloading

Ebay app would not update so I deleted and restarted iPhone. Now won’t download from App Store. Others having same problem.

Same problem on my iPad, on iPhone it still Works ok.

Hi @service118 - the minimum required iOS version to download and install the app is iOS 9 (though preferred version is 12).

As operating systems age we phase out app access for older versions. This is done out of an abundance of caution to head off potential security exploits. Thanks!

If you are on a current iOS version, please uninstall, reboot the device and then visit the App Store again to install.

Ebay app says it requires iOS 12.0 which leaves out all us with older versions of iPhones that don’t have the space to upgrade. Thanks Ebay for thinking of your long time customers before launching new app requiring iOS 12.0!

If you have iOS 11 installed the App Store should still let you download version 5.38.0.

Can you try the following and let us know if it lets you get that version you had.

1. App Store

2. Tap on your account.

3. Go into Purchased

4. Find ebay in your purchased app list

From there you should be able to install.
