Messages now only in portrait mode

What happened??? The app used to work great on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, but now messages insists on.showing ONLY in portrait mode, which is VERY inconvenient ona 10" tab with mangled, painful hands. Please add some option in apo settings to revolve the messages as per device viewing settings,

I told them about this week's ago and nothing has been done .  

It's completely  useless on a tablet now .

Morons in their office. If their entire team will turn their keyboard and monitor sideways I will take back the 'moron'  comment.  But that also includes thatvthey have to watch all TV and Theater shows in portrait mode only.

And they have the nerve to ask me questions about what I am interested in.
