Message notifications when there are no messages there

Hi,

I have a number 4 next to my messages button as if to say I have 4 unread messages, but when I click on them there are no unread messages there. When I get a new message it goes up to 5 for example, then I’ll reply to that and it goes back down to 4. 4 is just constantly there and it’s frustrating me even though it’s only something small. This is the same no matter what device I am using.

Can anyone help please?

I’m up to 12 messages. On the desk top there isn’t an option to clear messages as in years past

Try clearing your browsing/cache history, that might clear the notices that there are unread messages. Sometimes that information will get saved there.

I have the same issue with the number 4 next to my messages with no unread messages.

Just had the same problem started about half hour ago. Messages that just aren't there even though the seller hub says they are!

In my Seller Hub the "Unread Messages" constantly shows "1".  When I click on that it takes me to All Messages, where none are unread (bold text).  Clicking on all messages individually to re-read them does nothing.

-->  There should be a "Mark as Read" Action choice.

-->  There should be a "Mark All as Read" function button.

-->  There should be better highlighting or marker for messages eBay thinks are unread.

This has been happening to me for over 2 weeks now on Windows 11. It is really annoying.

Same issue here. I am currently in the "is the buyer going to try to return a large, and heavy item that is going to screw me out of $500 shipping?" purgatory and constantly see a 1 notification only to hove rover it and see There are no new notifications. Oh, the constant low-level anxiety...
