Kindle Fire Update not available. Please advise. CE from m2m board

Hi Mobile app team,  I am a volunteer on the Community boards and I am starting to see a lot of questions about the ebay update for Amazon Fire.  I do not have an Amazon Fire but from what I understand it can only use Android apps that are in the Amazon app store which are not up to date.  

Is ebay going to work with amazon on getting the app store updated?    Some comments on amazon say that the amazon fire app is 3 versions behind.   Ebay is saying that they need to update or their version of the app will no longer work.  

Right now all I can do is send them here so as not to flood this board I thought I'd try to find an answer.

Where is the updated version for Amazon Fire Tablets? Is it coming or am I not gonna be able to use app anymore! Help.... Please....

Hello everyone

Thank you for the posts about the Kindle Fire app. The new eBay app requires Android OS 4.2 (Jellybean) and higher. If you are unable to update your app due to your operating system version, you may still shop eBay with your mobile browser on your Kindle at eBay.com.

Hi, I cannot update the Ebay app on my Kindle fire. Any suggestions on what to do. The ebay/Google app will not load on the fire. The kindle ebay app has no update. On my ebay home page I have a message to say I must update or lose my account. What should I do?

Yeah seems eBay has forgotten the update for us kindle users!!!

I'm sure I speak for many Kindle users when I say we use the app as it works better than .com on our tablets ( or at least it used to!) so please get your act together, update the Kindle app and stop discriminating against Kindle users.

This is just wrong of Ebay not to update for fire tablets. I have two great Amazon fire tablets I use to list (one is less than a year old) and neither will update. But Ebay loves updating the Android app and making it worse and harder to use??!  So frustrating.

I have the same problem with my Kindle Fire HD. The Amazon app. NO LONGER WORKS!
Ebay says it is 3 versions out of date. I can only think Amazon is doing this to redirect you to their site!!!

If it was deliberate by Amazon it would serve them right if everyone who's got a Kindle went out and bought a Samsung tablet.

I've used my kindle for eBay for.the past 3 years now however, the app says it'll stop working on the 1st January 2018! The app won't update at all, and puzzled as.to what to do next? 

Is this Amazon's fault or is it ebay?
