Item description screen on app

Item description shows up for one to two seconds when you click on it then the entire description screen flashes to black. Has happened many times despite my always having my iPhone iOS updates fully installed.

This appears to be an ebay bug/glitch on the app as I don’t believe it happens via computer.

I also can no longer attach photos taken to send in ebay messages since by latest iPhone iOS update so perhaps ebay needs to update the app to repair this issue.

The entire format appears to have changed. It’s slow, the screen freezes or drops completely, leaving feedback isn’t even an option on some items. I “chatted” online with customer service. Complete waste of time. Didn’t provide any help for the issues I was having, suggested it was my fault. I’ve purchased hundreds of items via eBay. Pretty sure the problem isn’t me. Don’t waste your time trying to get online support, you won’t get it.

Hi @stahrlite - We're happy to look into this further. May I get the following from you:

• iOS version and iPhone device model
• Item numbers for examples where this is occurring
• Which site are you on (UK, US etc.)? 
• Do you have dark mode enable? If yes, then does the same issue exist when you have dark mode turned off?

I have an iPhone 6S/ iOS version 14.2.

My phone is set to dark mode and I am in the US.

Can not find specific listings right now but it’s been happening quite a lot (but not all listings).

It is too much work to go into my settings to adjust the lighting mode to read one or 2 listings.

Also, pls address the issue with not being able to attach photos to sellers about defective merchandise. This wasn’t an issue previous to the most recent iOS 14.2 update.

Thank you for getting this info - @stahrlite  I've passed this to the app team who is reviewing. I don't have any further update I can share on the photos issue you're seeing in messages, but have made sure they have this information as well.

@stahrlite The tech team has let me know they've been unsuccessful in finding an item where the description disappears to replicate what you're seeing. Would you mind sending us an example item number and screenshot when you see this?

Also on the photo issue, would mind getting me screenshots of what you're seeing when you attempt to send messages to sellers, as well as the seller's user ID/the item number? We don't have other reports of this, so making sure we have the right information to re-create will help us get to the bottom of what's happening.

In the meantime, have you tried accessing eBay through a mobile browser to send the photos? If that doesn't work, please let us know.

I think that is same here some times I also faced this situation. But not in eBay app. I faced in some apps. according to my opinion that is occur due to new iOS update. There are small bugs..

I think this situation is fix in next iOS update.
