Ebay app not launching says “Update Required The version has expired update now”

I’m using a brand new iPad as of February of this year, with newer iOS, and was using until early this morning Ebay app version 5.39.0, installed just 6 months ago. 

Has anyone else received this message recently?  If so, did you update the app on an iPad successfully?

Why doesn’t Ebay give people a heads up before this happens?  

What is the current version of the app we should be using with an iPad? Thanks

So, After finding out the latest iOS of the app is 6.7, I’ve updated to that and all is well so far.  

Maybe this info. will help someone out.

In the past I’ve found that the time between updating the app. is longer and less updates are put out there. It seems there’s so many updates during the past 6 months to the app.

We update the app every 3-4 weeks. We recommend keeping autoupdates on as we are constantly making improvements.
