Since the last update the eBay Android app on my Google Pixel 3a XL has a really annoying issue where it will constantly vibrate when looking at items.
The frequency of vibrations varies and I believe it likely has to do with how much time remains. Don't think it happens when I'm looking at a newly listed item or if it does it is rare, but if I'm looking at something that is about to end it just keeps vibrating and highlighting the price like as if a new bid happened but no bids were placed.
Sometimes it will vibrate every several seconds but at at other times it vibrates non-stop, even for long after I navigate away from the item as if it told my phone to vibrate more times than it could keep up with. I have to force close the eBay app if I want it to stop vibrating (or I think if I waited a long time it would eventually get through all the vibrations and stop on its own).
As someone that uses the eBay app many times a day this is incredibly annoying. Waited a few days hoping a fix was coming but no updates yet.

This post proves that ebay customer service does not give a flying f*** about our issues. "Less vibrating next time"? Dude, it's not some minor annoyance or oversight...the thing's BROKEN.

Not only that but it literally makes bidding itself impossible. It's buzzing but the price is t changing I'm real time...except in reality it is but you wouldn't know unless you backed out and refreshed the page.

Just wanted to join the revolters. This is a dreadful idea, potentially borne out of people forgetting to bid right at the end of an auction once they are prompted to 'tune in' with 15 minutes to go. The behaviour in me that this has actually changed is that I no longer bid on items during what was my favoured ebay time - on my phone in bed while the missus is asleep. Now I daren't even open the app after a certain time.
How is there not an option to stop this? I can mute literally any noise that any app throws at me, but ebay in, what can only be perceived as, their arrogance, have decided that making my phone buzz as much as once every two seconds when the auction is ending is in some way a positive and progressive step. It isn't. It's intrusive, annoying and is stopping me using your app. I don't commute on public transport but I can guarantee people are quickly leaving the countdown for the same reasons. Same goes for anyone who doesn't want their phone vibrating relentlessly for ten minutes solid because they're trying to simply and discreetly buy a hat.
So, ebay, listen to your clients. You have this very wrong indeed. Please make it stop.
Thanks

Its incredible they haven't done anything except sit back in their ergo chairs, hands laced behind their heads while chuckling.
