Since the last update the eBay Android app on my Google Pixel 3a XL has a really annoying issue where it will constantly vibrate when looking at items.
The frequency of vibrations varies and I believe it likely has to do with how much time remains. Don't think it happens when I'm looking at a newly listed item or if it does it is rare, but if I'm looking at something that is about to end it just keeps vibrating and highlighting the price like as if a new bid happened but no bids were placed.
Sometimes it will vibrate every several seconds but at at other times it vibrates non-stop, even for long after I navigate away from the item as if it told my phone to vibrate more times than it could keep up with. I have to force close the eBay app if I want it to stop vibrating (or I think if I waited a long time it would eventually get through all the vibrations and stop on its own).
As someone that uses the eBay app many times a day this is incredibly annoying. Waited a few days hoping a fix was coming but no updates yet.

I'm in the same boat and it is awful!

I have the same problem. My phone vibrates continuously almost like a countdown when an item I am viewing is about to end (seems to start within the last 5 minutes). It only seems to happen on items I am watching. If I stop viewing the item or go to the 'place bid' screen it seems to stop. The price also lights up in time with the vibrations as if a new bid has been placed, but it hasn't.
It's extremely annoying and can't be turned off.

You need to give us the option to turn this feature off. Even when a phone is silenced, the vibration still happens.

Glad I'm not the only one, now I know for sure you can't turn this off, will uninstall and use the website. Pity as otherwise the app is fine... But what a stupid idea that was!

I really can't express how horribly frustrating and annoying this feature is.
"Less vibrations" is halfway there, the other half is the option to turn this feature off entirely. The vibrations encourage me to navigate away from the item or close the app entirely.
I'll delete the app if I don't get an option to turn these vibrations off.

Just so it's clear: It's not just a less vibration preference, the app is malfunctioning and vibrates literally every second, incessantly, towards the end of an auction.
Just in case there's any misunderstanding there as this needs to be fixed. People are just shutting down the app and not using it.

Yes coming here to confirm this weird glitch. It's during the final minute countdown of items. Typically the phone only vibrates when a new bid raises the price, so it's now feeling like there is non stop bidding through that important final minute. It's makes bidding nearly impossible on phone now because you can't know when it's the nonstop error or when someone actually has outbid you. Hopefully it's fixed soon so the app is usable for buying items again. Thanks.

Yup we'll said. The standard eBay response is sounding like they feel this is a preference we have ("We'll give you less vibrations next time") rather than a glitch that's made live auctions impossible on the app.

I actually like the idea because sometimes I miss the 15 minute warning and lose stuff I really wanted but I 10000% agree it should be optional as I can well understand it driving people nuts.
Should be less frequent even when desired, too imo.

The vibrations are awful, it makes live bidding unbearable. Please change it so that it is optional. I would personally like zero vibration when using this app, however I can see why some users would like the vibrating feature. If it is to be a feature of the app, it needs to be optional.

Fix this horrendous "feature". The person who gave the go-ahead for this incessant vibration must be trolling us. It actually dissuades me from bidding. It can't be disabled either which is seriously dodgy.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised this isn't on the level of oh crap we pushed out an app breaking update and need to drop everything else we are doing to get this fixed ASAP. It is that bad and it has been nearly two weeks already.

This is so annoying I'm uninstalling app until it's fixed... I need to be able to turn them OFF... I even removed all notification permissions for eBay and it still does it... Absolutely unacceptable... The app is now a virus...
