Hi..
for some reason I now can’t access photos/camera through ebay app on my iPhone..
when I go into privacy setting and select camera/photo the eBay app is not in the list so can’t do it that way ..then when I go into main settings and then scroll down the apps and select eBay there is no camera icon to select so can’t do it that way either.
i just can’t find a way to give permission to access camera..
i have reinstalled app.. reset phone etc with no joy..

Thank you for the reports. We are looking into this. Can you please send us a screen shot of your iOS settings of the ebay app to iosfeedback@ebay.com.
Could you also try a full reboot and reinstall
1. Sign out
2. Delete app
3. Reboot
4. Reinstall
Thanks

I have done all that along with having contacted Apple Support where I spent hours with them attempting to resolve this very issue. They concluded that my iPhone 11 Pro Max with updated IOS 14.4 was in great working order and the issue does not lie with the phone or the updated IOS version. They suggested I contact you (EBay) for resolution.
When attempting to attach a photo from my device, a message pops up indicating permission must be given to EBay to access Photos. So you click to do so and the only choices available are:
- Siri & Search
- Notifications
- Cellular Data
I would perhaps include a screen shot of the three choices but I’m unable to give EBay access to my photos from my iPhone!
(Of note, on my 6th Gen iPad those 3 choices plus Photos and Camera are visible and available to select.)
I have deleted and reinstalled the EBay app now twice; AND, completely reset/restored my iPhone to maybe then have the selections to provide EBay access to my Photos on my iPhone; but, to no avail!
Please fix.

When attempting to attach images, an error message is continuously sent to allow permissions in settings, despite the camera toggle bar being set to on in the EBay App.
I deleted the App because now for the last month, all paid purchases reflect a ‘Commit to Buy’ or ‘Pay Now’ message. This was reported to EBay. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not resolve the issue.
it appears the App is corrupted and Buyers cannot collaborate to Sellers by documenting with photos.

I did all of the same steps including contacting Apple knowing the response would be that being a third-party application they would be unable to do anything about a another developer’s product.
Apple also confirmed that my environment tested successfully and the liability is eBay’s. Again, we would all include photos... except the camera access DOESN’T work.
Please fix.

Thanks for the additional details and emails. We are looking into why this might be happening. Could you please try going into the selling section of the app, starting a new listing, go to attach photos and see if that triggers the correct prompt to allow access to both gallery and camera.
Thanks

This solved the issue for me and triggered the app to request access to all photos.

I had the same issue with iPhone 11 Max Pro. I deleted back-up photos from phone storage first. Secondly, I signed out of eBay app, deleted app, restarted phone, reinstalled app, signed back in. The phone defaulted back to allow access to camera for eBay listing. I think that it occurred because I allowed my storage to get too full with over 10,000 images on phone. Best of luck hope this works for anyone experiencing the same issues as it is very frustrating.
