Hi,
App will not launch as intended, iOS version is up to date for this device - 10.3.3, app version I believe is 5.31.0.
When tapping on the ebay app icon the app refuses to launch, instead it comes up with an alert box (see attached screenshot). When said alert box is clicked through to App Store to 'update' then 'open' is clicked on the app will launch. Very annoying to have to this work around every time!
I also notice that if I search for eBay app through the iPad search bar (see 2nd attached screenshot) the 'TOP HIT' option will launch the app just fine but the 'APPLICATION' option has the same bug and will not launch sending me to the App Store etc.
Any suggestions? Apart from 'burn it with fire' 😂😂😂 / buy a newer iPad etc 😉
Cheers
Gavin.

I have an IPhone XS Max and having the same problem, except mine opens to the EBay logo and that’s it. It won’t go any further. I also tried to open it from the update and it still won’t open. All since the last update from eBay.

Previously, I also encountered this error in most applications on my phone when my phone was in ios 10.3.3. However, when I updated the latest operating system (IOS 12.3.1), this situation was fixed. You may consider to try this solution. But remember, then, your phone performance may decrease.
Hi, this is not an option with this device, the iOS version is the last Apple update so it’s stuck with this bug unless the developer debugs it.

The screen shot you attached is from a version that is a couple years old and not supported. Can you search your iPad to see if you happen to have two eBay apps installed? If you go to the App Store and search ebay is there an option to download the app?

My app won’t go passed the eBay logo screen and nothing. Xs max phone wise

That sounds like a different issue. Can you try opening on wifi vs cellular. Have you tried reinstalling? to verify you are on the XS Max and not XR?

I bought the phone and it is an xs max. They both run the same iOS. I’ll try disconnecting from WiFi and respond

Won’t do anything. Tried on and off WiFi

Same here… Has anyone received information on a fix? I deleted it from my iPhone and reinstalled it… No luck.
