Hi, I just noticed this week that when I make a sale, instantly I see it on the Web browser eBay site.
But the App cha ching notification is delayed about 4 hours.
This might cause delays in shipping for sellers who rely on the app.
4 hours could be a disaster if you made the sale while the post office is open. But get the app notification. When the office is closed.
I'd just like everyone to know your app might be delayed. I just noticed my app will not notify me if it's opened or closed. It takes about 4 hours after I see the sale on the main browser site. Apps are great. But not 100% reliable. I prefer a browser over any app. The app is great for sale notifications. But this 4 hour delay might cause issues.
Anyway.. anyone else experiencing eBay app delays? I can't see it being anything but server lag or overload on ebays side.
Just putting that out there.
Maybe someone here could elaborate on the app vs the browser notification system.
Thanks!
Sincerly Bry.

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you might have some battery saver settings causing the notifications to come in delayed.
Please read through here for tips to get this working properly

You might be right.
I've figured out it's not a delay. I get the notifications when I connect to my Wi-Fi. If I leave home I'm on data. No notifications untill I return home & soon as WiFi connects every notification at once.
I just got data on my phone recently. Specifically to get my eBay notifications wile I'm away from my house WiFi. (Not having data on your phone will improve the quality of your life)
Anyway
I have yet to figure out these battery saver settings with my android. & thank everyone for the help
