A few suggestions to make the App easier for the user from a buyer’s perspective

I’ve been using this app for a month or more now as a substitute for Etsy and I have been pleased with it for the most part. After a few weeks I’ve come up with a few things that I believe could be improved upon to make the experience more enjoyable and smoother for the users in the buyer side. Not to try and exclude the sellers, but I haven’t sold something on eBay in a number of years so I’m simply drawing from my own experience.

The first thing I noticed was when I’m in my cart and I click on an item, when I exit the items page expecting to go back to the cart, the cart is immediately closed and I wind up back on the home page. I think the back button should go back to the cart (and at the same place in the cart instead of the top). I believe this would make for a much more continuous experience.

I noticed too when removing an item from the cart or saving an item for later, after taking the requested action, the app reloads the cart at the top of the page instead of going back to the place in the cart. I think having it reload at your place in the cart would contribute to a smoother experience for a buyer organizing their cart.

This brings me to my final point, the cart, the watchlist, and the saved for later list. All three of these have limits on the number of items stored, a limit of 100 items for the cart and the saved for later list, as well as a 400 item watchlist limit. Now I admit that in comparison to the cart and saved list, 400 items seems a lot more reasonable. However, I think these are all excessively low limits, and in addition to making it difficult for the shopper, that essentially encourage the app user to shop less, which makes the sellers less money, makes you less money, and puts less hours into app time. I understand a low cart limit in 2005 but in 2022? I’d like to see eBay add a zero to the number of items you can save or put in your cart (1000), and put a 2 in front of the watchlist limit (2400).

Aside from those couple of things that stick out to me, this app works well and is pretty easy to use. Hope the right person reads this! I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t like having to decide what to remove from the cart to make room for more, or being sent back to the home page instead of the cart when you’re comparing items.
