The closest match I can find in the book "American Military Belt Plates" is a 1876 pattern for a Navy's officers belt buckle. However, the one I have does not have the cannon balls below the anchor. On the back it is etched with USNA # 3917." Does anyone know if this is a 1876 belt buckle or is it something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
