Hello, I'm looking for help with this pearl necklace strand. I've been searching for a few days now and can't come up with definitive answer to: saltwater or freshwater? 14K clasp marked 14KX, judging by the clasp I assume it is a newer piece. Measures about 9.5mm (my micrometer should get here today) and 18" long. Appear round/semi-round, 1-3 blemeshes per pearl which I think knocks it out of top grade. Fairly confident these are cultured pearls. I paid a relatively substantial amount for these, and have no clue of the value.
Thanks

They're made to look like South Sea pearls, but with that clasp I'd say odds on they're nice cultured freshwaters. That's a recent Chinese clasp, and I've never seen it on the good stuff.

Appreciate the input. The clasp is what made me suspicious as well. Thanks
