This may have been posted before, if so I apologize for the repeat. I usually skip over the stain removal posts b/c I can't find the ingredients posted.
Someone posted this one on FB today. It's just Dawn, peroxide, and baking soda. They had it as a mixture but i just poured a little of each on two different spots on two items today. I had already tried shout, fels naptha, dawn alone, and the stain removal that comes with Dryel. They didn't budge. I let them soak, rubbed it in, and let them set about 2 hours.
Stains are gone. No sign of them.
If you are like my husband and you have to measure everything, it's
1 tsp. Dawn dishwashing detergent
3-4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide
couple tablespoons of baking soda.
Scrub on with a brush.

Does the peroxide bleach out colored fabrics?

One of my items was pink, and the other was brown and white striped. No color gone on either of them. I can't guarantee though on darker colors.

What's the fabric content?

Awesome! I will have to try this. Thanks so much for posting.

One is 100% cotton, stiff like linen. The other is 97% cotton, 3% spandex (like tshirt material).

Thank you.

This is the basic recipe I use to make my own oxiclean. I use washing soda (arm & hammer) . It works great and much cheaper than store bought.

I knew this formula sounded familiar ~ it's what we use to de-skunk the dogs when they get sprayed. :^O
In the plastic container, combine 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 to 2 teaspoons of liquid soap. Add lukewarm water if needed (for larger dogs). Mix ingredients well. The solution will fizz, as a chemical reaction is occurring. Use immediately - do not store.

I swear I had nothing to do with it!! I even wrote and asked if they would pin the newbies thread!

They wouldn't read it anyway.

Probably not. She didn't even respond though. They didn't respond when I had a question about siggies either.
