Louboutin authentication

Could use some help authenticating Louboutin's I picked up for my wife (on ebay)... while the box is sketchy (label torn off) and inside packing job was something left to be desired, the shoes themselves look authentic to me.

Thanks in advance!

I'm going to disagree.   They don't have the quality one would expect from $800 shoes.  And look how the word "Paris" is printed in two different ways, once on the box and once on the in-soles.   A luxury shoe company isn't sloppy about those kind of details.

You may be right-I just looked on my computer and I don’t like the lining material and stitching which didn’t read on my phone. My bad but I also never look at packaging or anything that can be removed from the item as most of us have seen authentic product in fake packaging, dustbags, etc. and vice verse. That stuff can easily be switched around by various owners. I wish posters would not even picture anything but the item itself.

OP just take the shoes into your local cobbler. If any part of the lining, soling  or insole is made of non leather then they cannot be genuine. That’s the easiest way to check.

According to local luxury shoe repair, all soling and lining is leather according to him. He was a little skeptical of authenticity as we compared to a pair of Louboutins he was working on - his pair had an inner stamping or some sort of product identification.  My pair did not.

Requesting wisdom of crowd - do all CLs have some kind of inner sole product ID?

Thanks.

Wait for others but I have never seen fake ones that are fully leather lined and soled but that doesn’t mean that someone isn’t doing higher grade fakes today.

There's another purse forum where there's a Louboutin-specific shoes authentication second. You might try googling and posting there.

@jsales0 - I did a little digging and although I don't know (nor claim to know) CL shoes, I've posted side-by-side comps comparing the OP's shoes vs. some shoes that were deemed as authentic on that other forum.

Is this helpful?

There are some differences in the soles though I'm not sure whether different styles might be different.

The "L" is much thicker on the OP's shoe than on the comp.
The size is much closer to "made in Italy" on the OP's shoe than on the comp.

I’m passing on these even though I initially thought they looked OK but
with respect and by no means authenticating them you have to be careful comparing as soling and fonts change, and just like Blahnik, Louboutin uses multiple factories and stamps and construction can definitely vary factory to factory and sole colorations have dramatically changed over the years.

Even out of China it’s incredibly expensive to produce an in and out leather shoe which is why the fakes were never (in my experience in the PAST) all leather. Look at Prada, they are making all leather product out of China and Vietnam and the shoes are not that much less than the Italian product although IMO they should be. The labor is significantly less BUT the materials are not.

As I already stated, all the fakes I’ve seen have used some synthetic material but I don’t know if that’s still true. You also can’t go by construction. Using Blahnik as an example, within the same pattern, one factory will glue the heel lining and another factory will stitch it. Some have a registered circle and some do not, etc. etc. There are obvious changes in the font, size placement, made in stamp, etc.

I just think these aren’t cleanly lined and cleanly stitched but I also saw what I thought was a disaster (construction-wise) on a pair of Rockstuds and thought they were counterfeit when they were proven to be authentic.

There’s no question in my mind that I’d be 100% if I hand them in hand which I obviously don’t.

Sorry I can’t help more but others who wear them may be able to make a call.

Looks legit and nice. You can always call Louboutin and make sure the item is a legit and not a replica. Hope this helps. Have a great day.

None of the designer brands will authenticate.

Again, I ask you to please leave authentications to the experts.
