Sold Item

I sold an item that was listed as "I do not accept return on this item". The seller is claiming that the item is not working well without explanation. Now he's requesting a refund. What should I do?

Re: Sold Item

If buyer has filed an INAD, accept the return and provide return shipping.

If they haven't filed an INAD, tell them to file then wait until they do.

Re: Sold Item

@manproposes2005   First, advise the Buyer to process a return request in eBay's Resolution Center (link at the bottom of the page).  They will need the eBay Item Number from the item in their Purchase history.

1. As a new Seller the Buyer may just be fishing for a partial refund from you ...

2. Don't use the "Returns not accepted" setting... Buyers have a way around it and you can NOT force someone to keep something they purchase.

3. If the return claim is processed and you refund through eBay then you will get your Final Value Fees credited back to your account.  If all you do if Refund through PayPal you get NO eBay fees back.

4. For the future, consider Free Returns, that allows you to review and item that is returned and if it is NOT in the condition you shipped it in (like the Buyer damaged or modified it) you can refund up to 50% of the original purchase and none of the original shipping they paid PLUS you are protected against less then Positive feedback, bad feedback can be removed (automatically or call in).
