Missing battery and Memory card

Buyer is claiming the Nintendo 2ds I sold them (which was never opened) was missing both the 4gb memory card and the battery (which comes already inside the 2ds). I spoke with Nintendo and they could not help me because they weight every package before shipping to ensure everything is 100%. What do I do?

Unfortunately, if they open a not as described case with eBay you will be compelled to refund in full and provide the buyer with a prepaid return shipping label.

I don't know if I'd call the buyer a scammer as missing parts happen quite a lot, also high speed industrial weighing systems can be inaccurate or unreliable at times.

Where did you get your supply of games? could one of them be a store return that someone cherrypicked from?

I see the battery costs about $10 and the memory card about $5, you could always offer a partial or just tell them to return for full refund, remember you will have to pay for return shipping.

I got mine from target and I was the only buyer of the console. Nintendo assured that their consoles aren't missing pieces before shipping to retailers.

Does your buyers feedback left for their other sellers look good or suspicious with telltale signs of partial refunds?

I can assure you that if your buyer opens an eBay case you will be forced to refund if you do not accept the return.

You can either offer a partial refund or if the buyer opens an item not as described case, send them a return label. Refund upon receiving it back. At least you can resell it as "like new".
