Your post is loaded with good information. WOW you put some effort into this one.

Good post there nightowl ... you put some thought into it ... I like my auctions to end on the weekend as well ... more people home that way. Good luck with your listings.

In case some of you have not noticed.
There is a "Start Time" choose box when you are creating an auction listing. You can click the box and choose a start time. It costs .10 cents.
To us it is worth it many times. We start the item on Sunday nite trying to figure the best time to get all the time zones into it.
If you do multiples like this, be sure you separate them by a few minutes or they will all end at the exact same time. Not good for the bidders.
Happy to read your post Nightowl

When I was selling Harley parts I used to do my auctions on Thursday and Monday. Most people who ride Harleys are out on the weekends and I figured that they also crashed on the weekends. I know that sounds terrible but the parts I was selling were used and were a bargain. It worked really well.
Now that I'm not specializing in anything in particular, I'm doing either Sunday or Monday. I've played with different times. I used to do really late auctions and I got the European market. Before the global recession the people overseas were willing to pay a lot more. That's not the case any more so I just make sure I've got my listing ending either before people leave the office or after they get home.
As for all the listings ending at the same time, I've used Turbo Lister for years and one of the benefits is the listings end at almost the same time. Since I wasn't selling more than one of the same item, it worked well for me.
I am going to move over to Amazon with the comic books and records.

Please let us know how you do with Amazon. Been reading many posts on the powerseller group about the same thing.
Also read recently that 70% of the stamp dealers left ebay recently. Not sure how they come up with that total.
We like ebay actually. Meet some nice folks while selling all over the world.
Happy to see all your postings soloinar,

Some of you are probably tired of hearing me wine about how I can't get going on my Sacred Thread clothing. But I need to wine alittle more.. sorry!!
I started taking pictures of several items yesterday and writing up the descriptions. Of course I had to pick the hardest clothing line to describe.!!! So much to explain and I can't find the words.
Then I get on ebay and ready to list until I see another issue such as how to ship and should I ship international. What kind of special little things can I offer such as combined shipping or free shipping on so many purchases. There are a couple other's selling Sacred Threads in their stores, which I can't afford and they are making alot of money!!! I want to offer better deals. And I need to get selling to help with our finances..
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting motivated to just "DO IT".?
I know it's my depression and ADD but it's frustrating...
Thanks to all... Janet

I am like you in that I get overwhelmed looking at the "big picture" ... then I think the task is not one I can accomplish. But if you choose just one or two items to work with and get those listed you will feel more motivated to get more done. Break the big project down to smaller more manageable ones and you can do it!

"You CAN do this"
That has always been one of my favorite ones.
Kate your thoughts on this are perfect.

Thanks guys, I have to practice what I preach all the time ... I get so overwhelmed by some tasks that I avoid them ... working in small steps does work better for me. Glad I could be of help.

I keep getting started and get off track. So much on my mind and it's just spinning. Not to mention my social security disability is fighting my 40K in back pay so it's back to the courts again!!! There is no call for legal action on this decision. It's due to me and I paid it in all the years I was working.
My lawyer and the local SSA office manager said it's a situation where someone screwed up the paperwork and won't admit or are hiding it. It should have been paid to me in 2010. Noone has ever seen a case as messed up as mine and even confused me with another person of the same name. It's just all to overwhelming. I need to try and put the madness aside but it's never ending.
I need to get some items listed!!!

We know a lady who works in a social security office. Your story is very common. Many screwed up claims floating around in la la land.
It takes being persistant to get anywhere. She said ya gotta call at least once a week and cry on the phone. Yelling puts you to the back of the line.
Maybe hire a "professional mourner". A retired movie star who can really cry like a pro. Have them on another extension. Then have 3 or so more friends all crying at the same time in the back round. They may give in ya think? 😮
This is the typical DWB response trying to make ya smile. Hope it works.
Good luck with your many difficult things,
DWB

Years ago eBay used to offer help to sellers. I got a free consult with one of their specialists. He told me to use bullet lists for the information I needed to provide for each item. He also said to keep it simple and straightforward. Most buyers don't even scroll down the page. They just look at the top. So if you fill in the basics it may be easier to get it done.
Believe me...I understand! I've got about 100 comic books I need to list and I've been putting it off for over a year. They are right here, ready to get scanned. I've even got all the information. I just need to get it done. Instead I just keep relisting what hasn't sold because it's easier!
Oh, and having a store doesn't make it any easier because you still have to include all the information!

Been going thru the medical procedures merry go round again this week. Sorry bout not being able to post much.
The good thing being they are making me a little bit stable and able to sit up some. Much easier to type here this way. Try typing in a lying down position like I usualy do. It makes your arms go nuts.
Thank you for your postive response islifereal.
Glad it made ya feel better.
