Really? With absolutely nothing to back up those thoughts? Friend at Christies or not, they don't take consignments valued at under 5K unless there is an entire estate involved and... they don't research unknowns for you thinking it Might be something. They're sorta busy with actual expensive stuff.

As with most things in this world, it's who you know, it's what you know. its been like that from day one.
I'll follow my path.

Well, on this one, and if you are following your path, why are you asking on an ebay chat board in the first place?

Since this is an opinions game, here are mine: I agree with OP that the scratch marks are the artist's monogram. I also read them as MH. If OP's contacts can identify it as the work of an established artist, all well and good. But there is nothing to be gained by hyping the artwork on this board by throwing around references to Christie's, etc.

They are, and they have been for awhile. They're everywhere now. No escaping them. Sigh.

Nevertheless, an O-ring is a torus-shaped mechanical gasket, used in both dynamic and static applications.
