There must be thousands in the U.S. that are interested in old phone books for nostalgia, historical and genealogical research, old advertising etc. A New York City phone book from the 1890s should be worth at least 200 to 300 especially if it has aa lot of illustrated advertising but even if the phone book is only 30 years old many would be interested.. There is no category or sub category for old phone books for buyers and sellers that I can find. One good place for a sub category is under old and antique telephones.

Just pick one closet to a phone book There are actually very few people who search by categories. If they want a vintage phone book, they will type "vintage phone book" into the search bar and yours will show up. If you insist on a category use collectable advertising. That is where the other 205 sellers put theirs.

Very few people search by category and that would be especially true in this case, where people would be looking for specific directories.
Many are currently listed as:
Everything Else > Genealogy > City, State Directories
and
Collectibles > Advertising > Communication & Utilities > Telephone
