Standing liberty quarter

I have a standing liberty coin with a bullet hole in it. Does anyone know if this was a suvienir thing in the 1920's? The date has been shot out.

I think shooting holes in coins was indeed a gimmick of the old "Wild West" shows of that period.  Unfortunately, it would be impossible to tie the item to this practice, and you've basically got somewhere around 1/6 Oz. of scrap silver at this point.
