Get Your Brexit Coins While You Can

https://www.yahoo.com/news/brexit-coins-remainers-plan-50p-123512283.html

UK is striking 50 pence pieces marking England's departure from the EU. The Remainers (globalists opposed to the withdrawal) are vowing to buy them all up to keep them out of peoples' hands. I'm gonna buy  a couple bags full, and offer them to the Remainers at  a bargain price of 75p each.

The story also notes that coins were struck, apparently with a 2019 date, but they were not released and melted down. You know someone at the Royal Mint pocketed a few.  They will be the ones to look out for.

Its not England's departure from the EU, the clue is in the word Brexit.

They are striking 10 million this year, I'm sure there will be enough to go around.

I've ordered the Proof and Silver Proof issues.

Personally I can't wait for Friday

Thanks for the informacion.   However, Heron has already spent his first quarter

2020 budget money for Gran Britannia items.   It is a neat Norwich Newton

Silversmith 1/2 d. 1811 Copper.   Such a deal!

Silver Proof is on its way from RM

It will go with the 1973 EEC proof and the other 1998 one when it morphed into the EU

I placed my order for the 50p silver proof and it was accepted. The Royal Mint indicated only 47,000 were to be issued. A tad on the pricey side, but it's dated 2020. It will join my other 2020 (bullion) silver: Kangaroo, Kookaburra, Maple Leaf, ASE, Krugerrand, Philharmonic, Britannia and Niue (Owl).

Very pricey if you ask me, however you will get your money back and a profit if you ever decide to sell.

Woot! Woot! I rec'd my proof Brexit coin yesterday. I few weeks ago I rec'd an e-mail from the Royal Mint acknowledging my order, with the caveat that it was subject to availability. So, I was surprised to find it in my mail box yesterday. This cost me £62.50 with shipping ($81.27 USD) for a coin not much larger than a US quarter. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, But none the less, I have one.

Re: Get Your Brexit Coins While You Can

Congrats on the purchase!   What we do with various coins is interesting.

Sometimes el Heron will purchase a coin just because he 'likes the design'.

Whether it 'fits' into Heron's primary accumulation makes no difference.

And if purchasing a particular coin causes the collector to 'feel good' then

go ahead and enjoy the moment for as long as possible.   (Every once inna

while el Heron will look through the 'misc' carton of coins he owns.  Even

finding a few forgotten for a long period of time.  However, it is a fun

thing to own such items. opinion)
