suspension of ebay account

Hello,

I recently joined to ebay and I have never done any sellings or purchases through this ebay account. However the day after I created this account I got the notification from ebay mentioning that my ebay account had been suspended. I was really frustrated and disappointed. But fortunately, I contacted ebay authorities through email and explained the situation that I had been confronted with. Finally they concerned my problem and gave my account back after 1 or 2 days. Is this normal or will that affect to my future dealings through ebay ? is this something ebay often does?

Sometimes they just want to ask a few questions and get a little more information.

It actually happens quite frequently, particularly with international members. I'm presuming that in your communications you provided the additional information eBay needed to verify your account. If that's the case you shouldn't have any more problems.

They do sometimes temporarily suspend members from buying or listing until they verify you.
