Tell the seller as per eBay rules, no additional charges are to be added after the sale of an item. Just go ahead and pay for it. What happens after that will determine your next course of action.

@staspero-0 No, don't pay. This is called extortion, and is against the rules. Look for a link to report the seller. If there isn't one, call ebay and let them read the listing, and the emails. In the mean time, let the seller know that changing anything in the listing (color, quantity, price, shipping price, etc.) is against the rules, and you will only pay what you agreed to in the listing. If you don't pay, the worst you will get is an unpaid item strike.

i have not paid for the item yet, I dont think i can use the resolution center untill I pay for the item. Seller wants to cancel the sale, I want the item but not with 25 dollars shipping on it.
thats just wrong!
If I pay the 25 dollar shipping as the invoice says can i go to the resoloution center and get the shipping charges refunded?

I don't know if you can get it back. All I can say is, if they haven't opened a cancellation request, you do it and state that the seller is trying to back out, so they can get a defect. If they have opened a request, and selected anything along the lines of, "the buyer requested", don't agree. It's their job to charge the approprite amount at listing. They will be hurt more as a seller, than you will as a buyer.

Item condition:UsedEnded:May 16, 2017 , 1:16PMShipping:FREE Expedited Shipping
No. If you pay the shipping charges you can't get it back through ebay's resolution center. You would be able to return the item for a full refund. It would be best not to pay. If the seller files an unpaid item case, ebay will remove the strike because he tried to charge more than what is on the listing.

Where you using the eBay App? It is glitchy and shows the wrong shipping sometimes. There is a thread on this in Tools & Apps This has been a problem since 2011.

no, i am on a regular computer, this is not a glitch, the seller listed it as free, now wants 25 dollars to ship it. i have 6 or 7 email with them dicussing why they cant ship it for free. they say ebay casued the listing to say free shipping, butwhen i mentioned that 7 of thier 20 ads said free shipping, they said it was because i was in California, and they would not make any profit of the sale if they had to pay the shipping to california. They are on the east coast. I am astounded at the nerve of this seller, really makes ebay look bad. this type of outright fraud should not be alllowed,
i am sure it is against the rules of ebay, but dont know how to report it. does ebay care? do they take reports like this? where can i report it?

Problem with this scenerio is that eBay does Not send a message on cancelations asking IF the Buyer wants to cancel.
I do Not know how to do it but I have read on these boards that You can get a refund on Over shipping charges from Pay Pal.
I'd send a screen shot of the Listing with the shipping shown as FREE and send the Seller a picture of it and Tell her/him it is NOT legal to change the shipping particulars after the Item is won. I would also say that I am NOT GOING to cancel the BID I won it on good faith. Thrn at least when the Seller either cancels at Buyers request then You have information to show eBay. You will probably have to call them about this.
Also make sure that the Address that You have on file with eBay and Pay Pal is Correct so that the Seller can not file a cencelation as wrong address.
When Sellers make mistakes on shipping charges a Normal Seller eats the charges and finishes the transaction as Normal. The Seller probably did NOT figure out the amount of shipping before hand and was schocked when they saw how much it was to ship OR they thought the Bid would go higher than it did and the Item is worth more so they would prefer that You cancel so they are let OFF the HOOK!
If You do buy the item then You May be able to file a Not as described and chances are great that You would get Your money back from eBay and Not have to go through Pay Pal. The listing Does have the shipping as free and to me the item is not as described on listing...but I am NOT certain of this!

Go to the bottom of the page that says contact eBay. put in Buyers issue. and follow the instructions.

Use eBays pay now with the correct shipping so you don't get a Unpaid Item case against you. Then open a case if you don't receive the item.

this: "they said it was because i was in California, and they would not make any profit of the sale if they had to pay the shipping to california."
That is the seller's problem, not yours. I cannot even sympathize with the seller since this was an auction - there was enough time for him/her to remedy the error if what he/she is saying is true. Even if it was a BIN, he/she should have checked the listing(s) as soon as it went live. He is trying to blame eBay for the error, but ultimately he is responsible for his/her listings. I've read about glitches, but still, the seller had enough time to fix it. I don't know about apps/mobile because I use my desktop all the time for the internet, however, even if you did, the seller is responsible for their listings - no more no less. No profit is his problem, not yours.

Once the seller sends an invoice with an adjusted amount this won't work. The pay now will show the updated invoice price

If the listing said free shipping then that is what you should expect. If the seller had any integrity, they would honor the terms of the listing for you and eat the mistake. It was not your mistake or problem, it is the sellers problem, and if they are aware of a glitch, then they need to address that with ebay, not you.
Does a not-as-described claim cover this? After all, it was described as free shipping.
(sorry for the double post)
