Got a call this morning from a lovely sounding man, very polite.
He wanted to talk about the jaguar I bid on.
I took a deep sigh, and said Ebay wanted my phone number and I didn't want to give it to them because sellers call me.
I then said, "look, if I bid on this car, and I win, I wouldn't mind talking to you. Does that sound reasonable?"
He said yes. Then he followed up with he was just responding to my inquiry and ........ the conversation I had with XXXXXX.
I cut him off. "I never had a conversation with XXXXXX. I never called you. Why do you guys engage in this sleazy tactic?"
"Oh no, this isn't sleazy".
I yelled at him and told him to not call me and that he was sleaze ball. He was arguing something back but I was pretty loud at this moment.
I hung up.
I recall writing into the forum about this last time. When Ebay required my phone number on my account.
I remember stating that these guys call and I don't want to be called.
Someone very helpful on the forum gave suggestions for adjusting my setting for communication.
I did.
The Jaguar lot doesn't seem to care.
But take heart,
they're not sleazy. Just ask em.

Never liked them sleazy salesmen at any level of vehicle sales... They just plain get me very angry which is fer sure not good for a sale:
I can and will take business for such some were else....

Just checked my personal email. The one on record with ebay. They contacted me there too, but not in my messages.

auto listings are different.
Seller pays to list. Matters not what happens from there.
Can't really go "off eBay" with a vehicle listing.
There are some buyer protections on eBay, but that is with generally for newer vehicles

It's August 10. I noticed a voice mail on my phone and listened to it. It, along with two other calls are the same sleazy car salesman from a month ago.
This guy doesn't give up.
What part of "do not call me you sleaze ball" does this guy not understand?
Thank you Ebay for giving him my phone number.

Report the seller to eBay, block the number on your phone and sender on your email.
