I've noticed the same thing. Searching for Z-scale gets me results for every scale, all mixed up. Z, N, HO, O, all appear as search results. It's a mess.

When you do your search, on the left side of the page, way near the bottom you will see a link for "more filters."  Click on that  and a filter box will appear.   Click on gauge and then on the gauge you want.  Then save the search if you wish to use it again.

Yet another improvement, just in time for Christmas. You probably have found the "GAUGE" selection downpage by now, but it seems to take a couple more steps to get there now.

At least it's GAUGE, not scale.
