item not delivered, no refund, and ebay would not support me.

I purchased an item but it has not been delivered after the due date. I have contacted the seller several times but have not heard from them. No refund.

I confirmed with eBay support that the item was eligible for the eBay Money Back Guarantee before I purchased it, but when I inquired about the issue after purchase, ebay would not support me because the item is not eligible.

Can anyone please tell me what I should do?

This will be interesting, as the rules for Star Alliance do not allow for the sale/barter/purchase of status between members. You can transfer status. Seeing that this transaction is not covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee, not much we can do to assist, as such, this matter is between buyer & seller to work out.

There have been members that have been banned from their airlines once caught in this schemes. I myself am a avid aviation geek and love travelling and gather frequent flyers miles as well.

Have you read any of the other answers? The OP made a purchase that's not covered by the MBG.

Therefore, opening any kind of a case will not help him and neither will eBay probably.

Right, Ebay won't do anything.

If you paid with Pay Pal, you might try opening a case with them.

Not sure how they deal with items not covered by a MBG.

If you paid with a credit card, try them if nothing else works.

I doubt seriously that Star Alliance allows the transfer of Gold status. I know that US-based airlines strictly prohibit the transfer of anything loyalty related. But whether it can be transferred or not, Travel is one of the areas where eBay doesn't offer its Money Back Guarantee. So you have no recourse here.

That doesn't mean you're dead in the water, though. If you purchased with a credit card contact the issuer and dispute the charge.
