Sounds like a common scam where you find an item (usually vehicle) on another site and you get an email from "eBay" saying they will ship the item from their warehouse and will hold your money while you inspect it etc.

eBay does not have warehouses. Some international shipments of items that are actually bought AND ALREADY PAID FOR actually on eBay (by finding a listing ON EBAY and bidding or making an offer or Buy It Now or Add to Cart and then paying) will go through a Pitney Bowes facility in Erlanger if the seller chooses that for international shipping. It is not an eBay warehouse and eBay does not have things stored there for sellers.

Total bunch of lies. That is a scam from a liar and thief. Ebay does not work like that nor do they have ship items. Ebay never assists in sales or payments of items sold on other sites.

The item you are talking about was not on eBay:

it does not exist: no guarantee, no free shipping.

If you purchased gift cards and sent the info on the back you are out of your money (Mind)....

If the item wasn't listed on eBay it is definitely as scam.

There is a shipping center in Erlanger, KY but it is a part of the GSP program only.

Who told you to send money to eBay? Nobody sends money to eBay. When you're ready to pay you find the purchase in your shopping cart or in your purchase history and submitting the payment or hitting the pay button takes you to the seller's payment processor, either PayPal or Adyen.

What is the item number?

Erlanger Ky is where the clearing house for International Shipping is located. It is owned and run by Pitney-Bowes. This is where US sellers ship items to be forwarded to International buyers.

Is someone trying to trick you into buying a vehicle and said it's stored at their warehouse in Erlanger KY? That would be a lie. eBay doesn't handle payments on vehicles and they don't store or ship vehicles. They provide a shipping calculator and they let sellers make shipping labels and that's about all the involvement eBay has to do with shipping.

I hope you haven't sent any money in any form, including gift cards, because if you have it is gone for sure. This is a scam. This is not the way eBay works and has nothing whatsoever to do with eBay.
