how to cancel open case

Locate the item in your purchase history, click on "review case details", then choose "close case" and confirm it.

Go to the case and there should be an option right on there to close it.

Go to My Ebay -> Purchase history and you should be able to find the case easily from there. Sorry I don't know the exact wording because I do not have any cases open right now. 🙂

@gisheena-0,

Since you are located in Sri Lanka and buy mostly from Chinese sellers you should be aware that

A) many of them have extended shipping and/or handling times.

B) there can be customs delays.

C) that you should check the feedback profile page of sellers before buying from them.

To check a seller's feedback profile click on the number in (  ) to the right of their username. On the page that opens you can click on the numbers of neutral and negative feedback they have received, to read only those comments. Look for slow or non-delivery comments as well as repeated other issues.

The estimated delivery time frame dates you see on a listing page are just that, "Estimates".  Because of Covid, delays have become more common.  eBay's Money Back Guarantee buyer protections give you up to 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a dispute, so giving a seller a week to 10 days after the last date is fair to you both.  Do not let that time frame pass, and you will be protected.

Keep in mind that the best ebay high volume sellers will have a feedback percentage of 99.6% or better.  Those with less than a 98.9% rating should be avoided unless they are not a high volume seller.  Do not even think of buying from a seller with less than a 98.5% rating.
