I have only purchased 4 items on ebay ever the last in 2016. Two months ago needed power plug for computer so went on my long dormant account after buying the item & found 6 items total. The last two were purchased 3/2019, however now I wanted to print those items for the police as my car was stolen by someone I know...it was an old 2004 mitsubishi galant gts in perfect condition except only radio with 6cd changed was broken hence the police had better things to do during the pandemic & could not locate with vin my car. When I saw my account with 6 purchases of which I purchased only 4 one of the items purchased a month after car stolen was believe it or not "2004 Mitsubishi Galant gts radio & 6cd changer". I inquired about this purchase to ebay and they would not provide me any information. Really..how many 2004 mitsubishi gts galant radios are purchased on ebay daily, weekly, monthly, yearly 4 weeks after my car was stolen and still registered in my name. This was the smoking gun to show the police my car was stolen by whom I said it was and how why did they hack into my account and purchase it in my account. I needed that information to show the police, but in the two months ebay now does not show your purchases? Also why would they not provide me the information of purchaser etc.

eBay only holds your purchase history for a 3 year period so you would only be able to filter purchases from 2019, 2020 and 2021. The CS agents are not allowed to divulge the personal information of anyone's account, however, law enforcement can make a request through eBay for certain information.

If the person you suspect of stealing your car and using your account, at one time had access to your computer/phone, that may be how they were able to get into your account. If they lived with you they may have found your list of usernames and passwords or maybe you shared it with them.
If you have a PayPal account, and that was used to make the payment, you can probably go back in your history to March 2019, and get the details of the payment and possibly the shipping address. If there is no history of a payment, the radio was possibly listed as local pickup and they paid cash for it.
I would have been pressing your local P.D. about investigating the auto theft. Even contacting your state's DMV or licensing dept., to see if a lost title, transfer, or change to a salvage title was applied for.

I appreciate you taking time to read and reply. This man who stole my car I have known for 20 years and was actually in my wedding, many vacations with his family and mine as was childhood friend of ex husband. I did make police report including printing up all contact with him and the fact I never signed my car/title over to him. Guessing because it was such an old car and despite in perfect condition as took good care of it 6 police came to my house...showed them all the evidence..then claimed they could not locate my car..no salvage title etc and was actually still registered as active even now in 2021, however since after a year he returned my auto tag was able to purchase another car for $2000 which took me a year to save it up as I am 67 divorced and in virtually poverty level. That what was so disturbing to me as my brother gave me the mitsubishi galant gts which i see still sells if in good condition because of the engine and top of the line mitsubishi and inside & out in perfect condition except the fact my brother never washed it since 2012 so had some paint issues is all. My intuition always told me since he is a lowlife and actually in federal prison in 2000 as being involved with the mob in money laundering thru cash check stores which I never knew. If gave his name to google you would see that him along with 20 others mostly who lived in boca raton were all indicted and sent to federal prison. I had no clue he was such a person. The police despite all my texts/vm I printed out regarding situation along with his history and driving record license suspended since 2013 with many violations and never showing up in court for I was guessing in dreamland that all they needed to do was wait outside his gated home till saw him driving..,pull him over etc and question this situation. Idk..perhaps he is now a police informer regarding his former involvement with ppl in the mob..who knows but they did nothing. I even called the state attorney and my brother is a retired judge but guessing because I am just a poor elderly woman who owned a car since 1972 attended college and was a music book editor for columbia pictures publications now at 67 and married 22 years to a vp of a brokerage firm who beat the system and left me in poverty was not important enough even after contacting an entitiy called crimes against seniors who actually called the police for me..nothing was done and I was with no transportation first time in my life when he stole the mitsubishi. I have a perfect driving record and no involvement with the legal system ever. It was a stunning revelation to me as I believed in the justice system, yet revealing they pick and choose what cases and ppl to help.

You honestly expect law enforcement to sit outside the suspects gated residence and wait for the suspect to leave or come home?
How many man hours?
I'm sorry you had your car stolen, but we don't need the rest of the story.
