I live in a newer place that wasn't fully added to the USPS database until early this year. (edited)
When I input my address into eBay as a primary shipping address, eBay automatically fills in the ZIP+4 code but it fills in the wrong one. Even if I overwrite it with the correct +4, eBay changes it back to the wrong one.
Is there any way to override this? Does eBay routinely refresh its address database, and if so when might I expect this to resolve?

If the correct +4 digits aren’t updated with USPS until next year does matter if they are correct? Seems like you’ll still get delivery. I might confirm directly with USPS whether it matters.

Have you checked your address here to see what USPS is validating?

Yes, it validates with the new correct +4 and not the one eBay adds.

Practically, it usually does not matter and I still get deliveries fine.
However I just had a seller send me something Registered Mail/signature required (unknown to me). I couldn't schedule a redelivery since the seller used my address from eBay with the wrong +4 and the USPS schedule redelivery tool would only accept my address with the right +4 and then complained it didn't match.
So in this case I had to go on a hour-long errand to pick it up.

Try doing it without the zip +4 and see if that works. While the address might be correct it could be the delivering post office is in the zip it wants to use.
No one here can answer when eBay will have it correct; we are not eBay employee's we are other buyers and sellers.

Totally get that, thanks for the advice.
It seems like eBay employees sometimes lurk here, so on the off chance they see it perhaps they'll look into it. Otherwise I can just deal with it.

Generally only if they are tapped to answer a question. Even the mentors and moderators are other buyers and sellers, and the forum is maintained by Khoros.
