buying a car on facebook market place thru Ebay

I've already been told my dream car for 1,000$ off Facebook Market Place purchased via EBAY with 5 200.00$ gift cards was a scam just minutes before I put the money on the cards. My question is, has anyone else received this email address in a similar scam?

You need to thank whoever stopped you from putting money on the gift cards you were going to give the scammer.

If you will re-read the original post, looks like his $1,000 dream car was going to cost him $5,200 in eBay gift cards.

My son did. It took everything to convince him this was a scam. It was for a 2011 nissian maxima sv for 1,000. Paying for it with 5 200.00 eBay cards. Luckily he didn't fall for it.
