I'm looking to buy a big ticket item on Ebay Motors and a lot of the listings I'm watching have sellers with zero feedback and a one-sentence description. What's the worst that could happen if I bid on an item and win? The one I'm most interested in doesn't require a deposit, just full payment in 3 days.

I would stay away from buying anything from a seller with 0 feedback. Worse that can happen? They take you for a ride, fake tracking that shows it was delivered and then it's a huge battle for you (and a 50/50 proposition) that you will get your $$ back from eBay or your Credit Card.
There are just WAY too many sellers that have better records.

If you don't like it when you inspect it, you can walk away.

The only risk you have on eBay Motors is the risk you assume in every used vehicle sale: by default in every state those sales are as-is. The only difference between buying a vehicle on eBay and buying one you find in a classified ad or through a phone number in the vehicle's window or from your cousin's best friend's girlfriend's brother is the venue through which you find the vehicle. So you proceed as you would wherever you found the vehicle. You inspect it, and if you don't like it for whatever reason, you walk away.

eBay motor sales are non binding so either party can just walk away if unhappy. It must be inspected in person and then you buy it if it passes muster. Buying and paying sight unseen would not be smart. Motor sales are NOT covered by the standard money back policy. Cars less than 10 years have a little coverage bit I mean little. Your supposed to inspect before you buy/pay.
The worst that can happen ? I think that is how pvt Eddie Slovik got into trouble in WW2.

As to the 0 feedback I would put that down to not many people having more than one car to sell?
But as above, proceed with caution and pay for nothing sight unseen etc
