so I see this is ebays scumbaggery way to push you to buy. the seller knows nothing of this and ebay lying saying I received an offer but ebay rudely pushing for a sale
and if you accept it, youre basically just sending an offer I could have done excluding ebays involvement.

To be fair, there are problems on every platform. Everyone is selling stuff, and there is intense competition to get things sold. FB marketplace is a petri dish; I never knew there could be so many other humans I'd want nothing to do with. And I recently made the mistake of creating a selling account on Poshmark... I now receive about 15 emails from them a day, advertising all kinds of trash.
The good news is all this refuse accumulates on our computer monitors. 😁

but ebay does that cause theyre desperate for those overpriced fees. I dont have to pay those on fb/craigslist and even etsy and its a far more enjoyable experience
youre thinking from the sellers perspective and I from the buyers eye and dont like annoying messages soliciting for a sale unless I contact first. its like going to a store and having someone right behind me constantly annoy me to get me to buy on anything I look at. I just walk away. too much. too aggressive and annoying. but yea youre a seller so you care to sell. but I make my own rules and now I know anything I care about, dont save it to cart or watchlist. ill save the link and deal as needed
I respect your opinion. There is a place in your preferences that you can check off that is supposed to block receiving any offers. Personally I like getting an offer on something I'm thinking about buying since it can save me money, but I'd rather not get them on stuff I just looked at and didn't save.

I am stunned at these replies. This is just an ordinary seller-initiated offer to a watcher. It has nothing to do with sponsoring (promoting or advertising). The seller is fully aware of it because the seller sent it to you. Ordininarily buyer has the choice to decline, counteroffer or accept. Just ignore if uninterested.
