Yet Another Degradation to Search?

I do my keyword searches by Newly Listed. I first noticed yesterday (but hadn't done any searching since Sun. the 9th) that the results pages no longer show the time/date listed for each item. Consequently, I can't determine the point that my last search started, and thus when this one can end.

Just to be as clear as possible, let's say the last time I did a particular search was on Wed. the 12th. When I do that search today, I know I can stop when I get back to the earlier hours of Wed. the 6th. As it now seems to stand, I have no way of knowing where the early hours of the 6th ARE in the list of items. Come on, Ebay! What's the point of NOT listing the start times in the search results??

Re: Yet Another Degradation to Search?

I'm glad to see it isn't just me that's having the issue, although nobody having it would be far more preferable!   Just for background/clarity, I have an old Dell computer (13-14 years?) running Win 7 Pro, and use Firefox (fully updated). I do have the "sort by" set to Newly Listed on all my searches.

That being said, I tried Chrome yesterday, and my search results appeared normally, with the 'date listed' displayed properly. And, lo and behold, I just now opened a couple searches in Firefox and the dates are back! Apparently, Ebay's screwing around with some kind of "improvement"?

Re: Yet Another Degradation to Search?

You have to change the "sort by" drop down menu on the right to "Newly listed" to see it.

If it's still doesn't show it try clearing your cookies or check on another browser. It's working fine for me.

Re: Yet Another Degradation to Search?

I have seen similar complaints lately, so you are not alone, though the dates appear for me.

Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

It is possible that eBay is making changes and rolling things out to only some accounts, and this can affect what you see.

Re: Yet Another Degradation to Search?

I have the same problem, it happened sometime yesterday.  Date Listed went away and was replaced by Condition, and the Customize drop down box has no option for date listed.  I’ve tried it with Firefox, Chrome and Edge, and on my desktop computer as well as tablet.   All the same. Clearing cache and cookies doesn’t help.   I tried e-Bay support but after taking 45 minutes to get them to understand the issue I gave up there.  Would hope this is fixed, or is guxable.

Re: Yet Another Degradation to Search?

It happened to me within the last hour.  When I first logged in, I still saw the dates and the seller's names on each search result, but now they're gone.  So it's definitely a thing.
