I know eBay's PTB read these posting, so I hope someone in the company fixes this ridiculous change: about a month ago, when I would get an invoice e-mail for any pending transaction, the heading started reading: "Reminder: Your invoice for eBay purchases: ..." But reminder for and of what? Don't you properly use the word "reminder" for something you had to tell somebody at least a second time, in that sort of context? I search around looking for an e-mail I may have missed but there was none. This is just an insane poke-in-the-eye to honest, considerate and earnest buyers who don't need hand-holding or other patronizing verbage, or other forms of being talked down to by a corporation. eBay, my request to you: can you stop wording everything like we are little babies or children needing condescending mini lectures - with every correspondence? That is but one example; just about all messaging generated by eBay now has a condescending tone and it is making me want to puke my guts out. Enough of it, and I'm done.

I hope your rant made you feel better, but you're incorrect in thinking eBay's PTB read these forums. While eBay employees pop in on very rare occasions or when tagged, the Community is made up of strictly member-to-member forums.

Hi @soundman07
My goodness! You definitely should avoid dealing with a company whose messages are "making me want to puke my guts out". Sadly, eBay's Community is a member-to-member enterprise ... so nobody in power will see your post.
I recommend you see a physician ASAP ... since having such a strong reaction to reading words might indicate a very, serious medical condition. I do hope you recover soon. 🙂

In the big scheme of things.................... trivialities such as that don't bother me. I just look at the "We sent your payout" message and move on.

Even if the powers that be did occasionally check these boards, it wouldn't make a difference, because to them we are just NOISE. We were actually told that by a former CEO who spent several years filling upper management with people who agreed with him.
