Hi, I bought item paid with paypal, notified item to be delivered, item removed with no explaination but Ebay said ok if paid it would be honored so I waited. After a few weeks I contacted seller through ebay for status. Never got reply. Contacted ebay they referred me to contact seller so I did again still no reply. Tried ebay resolution center but since too much time past they indicated I had neither bought or sold the item which they had listed in my purchasses. Now Ebay canceled the ticket. Too bad we can't talk to a human with problems. Probably have to accept the loss but will be doing more with Amazon in the future.

First, it is recommended by most people here that you should ask your questions here on the boards. There are many members here who give their time to answering questions here. Customer support reps have been known to say anything just to get people off of the phone.
eBay gives buyers 30 days after the estimated delivery date (found in your purchase history) to open a case for an item that has not been received. PayPal gives buyers 180 days after the date to open a case. If it has been less than 180 days, you should go to PayPal as soon as possible to open a case.
If an item was removed from the eBay site, it was likely because eBay suspected it was a scam, so they removed it and could have kicked the seller off. Their message where the item was should have said:
"We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If you run into any trouble along the way eBay is here to help. Please visit the Resolution Center to help resolve any problems you may encounter."
Just for future reference, this is not a guarantee that the item is going to come. If you see this message, the item is probably not going to come.
I hope my reply makes sense to you and you decide to keep using eBay.
Alex

The money back guarantee gives you 30 days past the estimated delivery date to file a claim. Since that has passed, you have to now go to Paypal and open a claim for item not received. Escalate immediately.

This is exactly what has transpired and the message is verbatim. I appreciate your input and advice and although I didn't see the option in paypal (they referred me to ebay) I will look harder. Thanks again.

If it's been beyond 30 day past the last estimated delivery date, you'll have to open a INR case through PayPal. They give you 180 days from the day you purchased it. Don't wait, do it now.
Anytime eBay removes an item and/or a seller, you should open a INR claim at that time, don't wait.

Very poor is a very nice way of putting it.
Reopen the ticket and keep bugging them. I had a very similar situation including the part where they informed me I had neither purchased or sold the itme. In addition to the mess, the seller was no longer a registered Ebay user. The day after I placed the order I received a message from Ebay informing me that the seller was no longer a registered user but they assured me since the item had been marked as shipped before the seller was removed the item should arive as scheduled. Of course it was marked as shipped but no tracking info was availiable. After the expected delivery date I started the resolution process. It was pointless to send a message from within Ebay to someone who was not a registered member but nothing goes forward without jumping through all the hoops. At some point in the process the closed the ticket. I reopened it and continued jumping through the hoops and eventually was allowed to write a message to Ebay support. They then informed me that the item number does not exist and I should enter a valid item number. I considered giving up since it was less than 20 bucks but I was annoyed and keep explaining the stupidity of the situation and eventually they congradulated me for winning. This is what happens when huge corporations cut back on customer service and reliy on free community support. The forums are great but there are times when someone from within needs to be availiable.
