To EBAY-stop allowing the offers on unwatched items.

Title says it all and I know I'm not the first to gripe. While I may look forward to offers on watched items the other is both annoying and time consuming to go through the decline process. If I don't watch it no offer is going to make me interested in buying it. There's a reason I chose not to watch it. Wake up!!

You can opt out of receiving offers on those items at My eBay: Account: Communication Preferences: Buying Activity: Offers to buyers (uncheck it and Save at bottom of list).  Unfortunately that also blocks offers based on the item being on your Watchlist or in your Cart (and eBay has been made aware that buyers want to be able to control those separately long ago; they do still have Second Chance Offers option separately listed).  You just have to make the decision to give those up to not get the viewed items  or put up with the viewed items offers to get the ones on the Watch List or Cart.   Or buy enough stock in eBay Inc. to get a seat on the Board so mangement will listen to you.

Declining is not required. You can ignore any offer you are not interested in.

I opted out of receiving offers, but still receive them.

I just ignore them and they eventually go away.

Have a great day.

At least if they were more than a few cents off..................

Log out of eBay and clear your cookies before looking at items. Then they don't know who you are and you won't receive offers.

@cyclemates,

Since you are an ebay seller, how would you feel if you started paying extra to list some of your items as Promoted / Sponsored listings, but ebay allowed buyers to turn off the Offers that are automatically sent when people open those listings?

  If you do not want to get the offers, Do Not open Sponsored listings on a listing page you have open or ones listed as Sponsored on search results pages.

Most offers expire within 1 to 3 days so you do not have to take the time to decline them.

YOUR TITLE WILL NOT REACH EBAY.

I have a mouse, and a finger that easily clicks the left side of the mouse to quickly remove such offers.
