Tired of sellers sending you wrong items and then dealing with returns or they offering you discount

I think eBay should do something with sellers, or have more protection for their buyers. 

Lately, there has been a numerous of sellers just sending wrong, fake and bad quality items. 

I understand that for you to get refunded you need to return it, but I think eBay's policy should go beyond making buyers waste time and money. 

We can easily send picture trashing an item as proof to the seller. He new the item wasn't worthy in the first place. 

Not to mention the hustle of repacking and waiting for your money to be back in your account. 

Shame on eBay.

You've got me curious on this one. I'm a buyer, never have or will be a seller, just not my thing. What are you purchasing that keeps needing to be returned? Is it the same sellers repeatedly?

I've purchased about 140 items on eBay since I've been here, and only once did I need to return something. It was somewhat expensive jewelry, a gift for someone, and when I got it, it wasn't what I wanted/thought it would look like. So, I returned it. A no hassle return, the seller was great about it.

Other then that, I've bought maybe three(?) other very inexpensive items that were "Ehh", but didn't bother with returning them because of the hassle in doing so and they were cheap (price and quality) items anyway. But I also never used the sellers who sold them to me again. 

I agree with the fact that it's a headache at times waiting to get your money back, but that happens on other sites also, so it's not just here. PayPal made me wait the entire thirty days once for an order placed (& paid for) elsewhere that never went thru on the seller's end for who knows what reason. I waited ... and got my money back.  

Maybe it's worse, with returns, if you purchase more expensive items than not, as far as quality, etc... 🤔

If the item is not what you ordered it is an item not as described. Put it right back in the package file a not as described case, wait for the  prepaid label to be sent and ship it back..

Destroying an item is on your end is destruction of property by the way...

If a seller sends you the wrong item, you are allowed to keep it yet not pay for it, as per federal law. If the buyer refuses a refund, just open a case with Ebay, PayPal, or your credit card issuer. 

Despite what the law permits, I would return the item provided the seller paid return postage. I do not want to penalize an honest seller for an honest mistake.

A pic showing your trashed an item doesn't mean you trashed the item the seller sent.   

That said there is already consequences for the seller which is that they are out shipping both ways.  If that's not enough to deter someone purposely sending wrong items nothing will be.   Buyers already have all the protection while sellers have barely any.

So you want to complain it low quality / fake and not be required to return the item and get a refund.

I understand your frustration! However, as there are bad sellers there are also bad buyers. To keep the playing field equal and as with most retail stores, if you purchase an item and you want your money back you must return the item. Just like when you bought the item, you sent the money you received the item...you want a refund send the item back.

Where did you get that idea from? And who makes the executive decision on whether the item in legal terms is not what was ordered? Certainly not the buyer. Hence, the buyer is required to follow the protocols they agreed to.
