I really want/need a new fitbit charge 2 for under $50. This one is not scratched. He/She has 0% in the last 12 months. I could just buy one that's scrached but it's $10 more. I don't know if I should risk it.

You are covered by the money back guarantee. It’s an auction as well, not a BIN at a too good too be true price so I don’t see a red flag. I would probably place a max bid in the final seconds if the auction myself. But I can see why you are leery here.

As a seller who goes long periods between selling, I wouldn't avoid bidding based on no recent feedback. They have lots of great comments regarding quality. Do a deep-dive into feedback and ... trust, pixie dust!

Have you checked her feedback left for others page and her retraction record. Not all sellers leave feedback.

I'm confused by your post. The title to your thread is "Should I trust this buyer? Has 0 recent feedback," yet you seem to be the buyer, right? You're the one buying the Fitbit? So. isn't your question whether you should trust the seller?
You go on to say you need a Fitbit for under $50, but the auction price is now at $51, and the auction still has 21 hours to go. Chances are it's going to sell for more than $51 . . . that's how auctions work.
Then you say the seller (presumably) has 0% feedback in the last 12 months, but the seller you've linked us to (in the auction listing link) has had +/-322 positive feedback comments in the last 12 months. Are you sure you know how to use the feedback page? You should be using the "Feedback as a Seller" tab. I have a feeling you used the "Search Seller Feedback" tab. That tab shows no feedback, because it's the tab you use to, well, search seller feedback--like for a keyword or item title or whatever. It is not a list of all of the feedback the seller has received.
Understanding how auctions work and knowing how to properly use the tools eBay provides (such as the feedback page) will help you make informed buying decision and hopefully lead to successful transactions for both you and the seller.

Now I'm confused! The seller that was linked to is showing 0 feedback and 0 sales in the last year and the auction ended on the 29th June.

OFGS. No, you're not confused. I am. I am a not-so-innocent victim of eBay's new, "Well, that thing's gone, but we're sure you'll like this thing instead." When I clicked on the OP's link, it showed me a different auction than the one s/he was referring to, which, of course, I didn't realize.
It's not the first time I've gotten all high-and-mighty about a listing I've misread.
My apologies to you and to the OP.

When I checked the listing I fell for that too, again! I forgot about the switch that ebay pulled so I wondered if that's what happened!
I was getting needlessly confused too because ebay linked to the "ignore the link description that says "see original listing", because it's not the original listing ,and instead look at this item that you wern't looking for" page.
Ebay creates this confusion. No apologies needed!
