Greetings, What can be done concerning a seller not responding to questions. I have been trying to contact seller for the last 7 days about an item they have listed. Im starting to think this is a scam even though the have good reviews. How can I contact Ebay and lodge a formal complaint against this seller? Any input would be welcomed. Thanks rd

They dont respond you move on. That saves you problems later.

If there were a way for you to contact ebay; there is nothing ebay would do/could do about a seller not responding. There is no law or ebay rule requiring sellers to respond.
Since there is no response, best to move on and find another seller.

There isn't any complaint to be made. Sellers are not obligated to reply to questions.
Perhaps they don't answer questions.
If you are sending an offer, they may not respond to those- so depending upon your reason for contacting, that may be the reason they aren't replying.

Nothing other than moving on.

What you think does not - and should not - affect another seller.
How can I contact Ebay and lodge a formal complaint against this seller?
The seller has done nothing wrong.
Any input would be welcomed
To be blunt, you should stay in your lane.

Looking at the sellers feedback he seems legit. There could be several reasons as to why he's not responding and it's not required of him to respond. Is it unprofessional yes. Is it against any ebay policy no. Should you buy from them probably not if your questions can't be answered. Calling ebay will result in wasting your time as there is nothing they will do and they can't make him answer you.

EBay does not discourage sellers who elect not to reply to a buyer question.
As a buyer you may discover there are a number of things that eBay does not discourage that manny buyers would probably consider inappropriate.

Some sellers just do not respond to messages
if you do not receive your item by last estimated delivery date wait a day or two then file a claim "item not received " and get refunded
You have 30 days to file your claim with eBay IF seller fails to ship you your purchase

"I have been trying to contact seller for the last 7 days..."
You probably could have found another one in 7 days. Happy hunting!

I don't reply to certain messages: I sell furniture and ship it, so I get the following type of questions a lot and I ignore them...." I have the same chair what should I list it for or do you want to buy it" or "what is the weight of this item, I have one and I can't weigh it?, "who does your shipping?", or "I found the same table for way cheaper and I have to get it shipped, who do you use."
